Publisher
THQ
Nordic
and
developer
Bugbear
Entertainment
have
revealed
Wreckfest
2,
the
follow-up
to
2018’s
hugely
entertaining
destruction
derby
racer.
“Ascend
to
the
throne
of
full-contact
racing
by
breaking
the
rules
–
and
everything
else
–
on
your
way
to
victory!
Developer
Bugbear
went
all
out,
rebuilding
its
true-to-life
physics
simulation
engine
to
take
full
advantage
of
modern
hardware,”
says
the
official
blurb
on
Steam.
“Wreckfest
2
features
even
higher
crash
fidelity,
a
deeper
armor
and
damage
system,
more
intricate
component
damage
simulation
and
many
more
improvements
across
the
board!”
Details
are
thin
on
the
ground
at
the
moment,
but
we
do
know
the
game
will
feature
a
career
mode,
a
challenge
mode,
tournaments
and
more,
along
with
post-launch
content
updates.
I
honestly
wish
games
would
stop
doing
that,
though
–
it’s
okay
to
launch
a
game
and
let
that
be
the
final
product,
without
needing
to
keep
adding
more
and
more.
I
guess
developers
have
figured
out
that
the
financial
cost
is
worth
it
though
The
headlining
feature
seems
to
be
a
new
customization
suite.
“Forget
pristine
supercars:
Our
cars
are
old,
dented
and
patched
together.
Each
of
them
tells
a
story,
and
now
you
can
tell
your
own
by
fully
customizing
your
ride.
The
newly
designed
customization
tool
is
incredibly
powerful,
enabling
you
to
create
the
car
of
your
dreams!
Let
your
creativity
run
wild
and
share
your
designs
with
other
racers
and
wreckers
online.”
No
release
date
was
announced,
but
we
do
know
Wreckfest
2
will
release
on
consoles
and
PC.
