Ubisoft Randomly Updates Far Cry 4 To Support 60fps On PS5

Ubisoft

is
a
hugely
controversial
company,
and
for
very
good
reason.
But
even
they
still
manage
to
do
nice
things,
and
one
of
those
things
has
been
supporting
older
titles.
The
latest
game
to
benefit
from
this
odd
generosity
is
Far
Cry
4
which
just
got
60fps
support
added
to
the

PS5

version
of
the
game.

Previously,
Ubisoft
has
done
the
same
for
Far
Cry
5 and Far
Cry:
New
Dawn.
It
has
also
added
higher
framerates
for The
Crew
2, Assassin’s
Creed
Odyssey, Assassin’s
Creed
Origins,
and Assassin’s
Creed
Syndicate.

You
might
be
wondering
why
it’s
just
PlayStation
getting
this
treatment.
Well,
that’s
because
Microsoft
themselves
already
beat
Ubisoft
to
the
punch,
using
the
Xbox
Boost
program
to
boost
Far
Cry
4
up
to
60fps
on
Xbox
Series
X
way
back
in
2021.

These
days,
you
can
easily
pick
up
Far
Cry
4
on
sale
on
the
PlayStation
Store.
For
example,

it’s
on
sale
right
now
for
£3.74.

I’m
honestly
quite
tempted
to
pick
it
up
and
play
through
it
for
that
price,
although
I’ve
already
got
a
backlog
the
size
of
Canada
to
contend
with.
