It
looks
like
as
the
day
rolls
on,
the
news
will
just
keep
getting
worse.
This
time
it’s
Forza
Motorsport
creator
Turn
10
which
has
allegedly
been
gutted
in
this
latest
round
of
layoffs.
Word
once
again
comes
via
Jason
Schreier
of
Bloomberg
who
noted
that
multiple
Call
of
Duty
studios
such
as
Raven
have
been
hit
by
layoffs.
But
the
biggest
sufferer
so
far
is
apparently
Turn
10.
According
to
Jason,
a
source
has
told
him
nearly
50%
of
their
staff
have
been
cut.
It’s
difficult
to
know
the
exact
amount
as
Turn
10
doesn’t
publically
list
how
many
employees
it
has.
A
reasonably
reliable
source
claims
251,
but
other
sources
have
said
anywhere
up
to
500.
This
means
we
are
looking
at
anywhere
from
125
people,
up
to
250.
Turn
10
layoffs
are
likely
to
be
driven
by
the
lukewarm
reception
of
Forza
Motorsport
in
October
2023.
Reviews
were
sold,
but
chart
performance
was
weak,
and
Steam
player
numbers
were
low.
It
likely
did
well
enough
on
Game
Pass,
but
Microsoft
and
Turn
10
were
suspiciously
quiet
in
regards
to
its
performance,
a
likely
indicator
that
it
didn’t
do
well.
The
Forza
Horizon
series
has
overshadowed
the
mainline
series
for
quite
a
while
now.
