The
Fallout
series
has
been
weirdly
quiet
with
the
last
mainline
entry
being
a
decade
or
so
ago,
which
is
odd
because
you’d
think
Microsoft
would
have
fast-tracked
something
Fallout
related
to
go
with
the
hugely
successful
Amazon
show
of
the
same
name.
But
there
is
at
least
some
news
on
this
front:
there’s
apparently
multiple
Fallout
games
in
the
works.

Jordan
Middler
of
VGC
shared
the
news
on
the
latest
episode
of
the
Friends
Per
Second
podcast
with
SkillUp
and
Jake
Baldino.
In
a
discussion
about
what
Xbox
is
up
to
these
days,
the
topic
of
Fallout
popped
up.

“There
are
multiple
Fallout
projects
in
development,”
said
Middler.
“including,
as
far
as
I’m
aware,
that
one
you’re
all
wanting.”

Whether
Middler
is
referring
to
Fallout
5,
or
the
long-awaited
remaster/remake
of
either
Fallout
3
or
Fallout:
New
Vegas
is
unclear.
Arguably,
all
three
of
those
could
easily
claim
the
title
of
“one
you’re
all
wanting.”

The
bad
news
is
The
One
is
apparently
still
a
long
way
off.

be
playing

Of
course,
the
news
isn’t
surprising.
It
would
be
crazy
if
Bethesda
and
Microsoft
were
not
developing
something
Fallout
related,
but
it’s
still
nice
to
hear
some
confirmation,
even
if
it
isn’t
official.

Personally,
I’m
going
to
assume
that
Middler
was
referring
to
Fallout
5
when
he
talked
about
“that
one
you’re
all
waiting
for.”
While
it
stings
to
hear
that
it’s
still
far
away,
I
strongly
suspect
one
of
the
other
projects
will
be
a
remake
or
remaster
of
Fallout
3
or
Fallout:
New
Vegas
along
similar
lines
to
the
recent
Elder
Scrolls:
Oblivion
release.
I
also
think
we’ll
see
it
by
the
end
of
2026,
perhaps
with
a
chance
of
it
even
coming
this
year.
