Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 announced and it’s coming out this year

Warhorse
Studios
has
announced
that
the
sequel
to
its
historical
RPG
will
be
released
this
year.

In
an
astonishing
move,
the
sequel
will
be
titled
Kingdom
Come:
Deliverance
2.
Truly,
a
daring
choice.
Once
again
it’ll
follow
the
adventures
of
 Henry
of
Skillitz
in
15th-century
Bohemia,
a
locale
for
which
Warhorse
Studios
drew
some
criticism
owing
to
them
choosing
to
portray
it
as
predominantly
white.
This,
of
course,
is
historically
accurate
and
thus
makes
complete
sense
in
a
game
trying
to
be
quite
historically
on-point,
but
that
didn’t
stop
a
lot
of
people
from
getting
angry
about
it.
Humans
can
be
strange.

The
trailer
depicts
a
slightly
older
Henry
but
doesn’t
give
much
away
about
the
plot
which
is
nice
to
see.
But
while
we
might
not
know
the
story,
we
did
get
a
few
snippets
of
information
regarding
the
gameplay.
For
example,
the
new
game
will
feature
two
maps,
as
well
as
early
gunpowder
weapons.

 Overall,
Warhorse
reckons
the
new
game
is
twice
the
size
of
the
original,
which
is
why
they
now
have
250
people
working
on
it.

 “Now
it’s
250
people
working
very
hard
for
years
to
bring
you
the
ultimate
medieval
RPG
adventure,”
said
Creative
Director
Vávra.
He
later
continued,
saying:
 “What
we
are
making
now
is
what
it
was
supposed
to
be
in
the
beginning,
but
we
were
not
able
to
do
it
because
we
didn’t
have
enough
resources
and
experience
and
all
that
stuff.
We’ve
proven
that
the
concept
works
and
now
we
can
take
it
to
another
level.

The
first
game
did
extremely
well
for
the
studio.
Released
in
2018
it
managed
to
sell
a
million
copies
in
just
a
few
weeks,
a
great
result
considering
it
was
Warhorse
Studio’s
first
game.
Earlier
this
year
the
company
confirmed
that
the
game
had
managed
to
sell
over
6
million
copies,
a
very
impressive
feat.

Following
the
success
of
Kingdom
Come:
Deliverance,
Warhorse
was
bought
by
Koch
Media,
now
known
as
Plaion,
in
2019
for

42.8 million

The
trailer
ends
by
revealing
that
Kingdom
Come:
Deliverance
will
be
out
sometime
this
year
for
PS5,
PC
and
Xbox
Series
S/X.
