Rockstar
and
publisher
Take-Two
have
not
officially
announced

Grand
Theft
Auto
6
for
PC,
much
to
the
annoyance
of
the
PC
crowd.
However,
Corsair
Gaming’s
finance
VP,
Ronald
van
Veen,
is
making
some
bold
claims
about
when
we
can
expect
GTA
6
to
launch
on

PC.

Speaking
in
the
company’s
latest
financial
report,
Veen
had
this
to
say
about
Rockstar’s
upcoming
game:
“Yeah,
GTA
6
is
probably
the
one
everyone
is
talking
about.
And
we’ll
get
a
glimpse
of
that,
I
think,
later
on
in
the
year
for
console.
My
understanding
now
it’s
going
to
come
out
in
the
fall
for
console,
and
then
early
2026
for
PC.”

Despite
the
confidence
in
which
Veem
makes
his
claim,
though,
there
are
a
couple
of
things
to
consider.
The
first
is
cynical:
he
might
just
be
saying
things
to
help
bolster
the
sales
of
PC
components,
since
that’s
the
business
Corsair
is
in.
It
seems
unlikely
that
Corsair
would
have
any
information
on
when
Rockstar
intends
on
putting
GTA
6
on
PC,
although
it
is
always
possible
that
Veen
has
some
friends
inside
the
development
team.

Secondly,
a
2026
release
for
the
PC
version
is
a
reasonable
bet.
Previous
Grand
Theft
Autio
games
have
debuted
on
console
first
and
come
to
PC
later.
There
isn’t
much
of
a
pattern
to
when
they
are
released,
though
–
GTA
IV
was
just
half
a
year
after
its
console
release,
whereas
GTA
V
took
a
year
and
a
half
to
come
to
PC.
Red
Dead
Redemption
2
took
around
a
year
to
ride
onto
PC.
It
took
an
insult
14
years
for
Red
Dead
Redemption
to
come
to
PC
after
being
released
in
2010
for
consoles.

In
other
words,
Rockstar’s
PC
support
is
infuriatingly
inconsistent.
But
there
is
some
hope
that
they
will
at
least
try
to
get
GTA
6
out
in
a
timely
fashion.
Speaking
last
week,
Take-Two’s
big
boss
had
this
to
say
about
the
PC
market:
“With
regard
to
others
in
our
lineup,
we
don’t
always
go
across
all
platforms
simultaneously.
Historically,
Rockstar
has
started
with
some
platforms
and
then
historically
moved
to
other
platforms.”

“We
have
seen
PC
become
a
much
more
and
more
important
part
of
what
used
to
be
a
console
business,
and
I
wouldn’t
be
surprised
to
see
that
trend
continue,” 

Hopefully
this
mean
he
push
Rockstar
to
get
the
game
out
for
PC
as
soon
as
it’s
ready,
rather
than
the
PC
crowd
having
to
wait
years.

Returning
to
Veen’s
words,
though,
do
you
think
Corsair’s
claims
are
to
be
believed?
Is
he
just
throwing
out
a
reasonable
assumption,
or
does
he
have
genuine
knowledge?
