Red Dead Redemption 2 Sets New Peak Player Record on PC

Red
Read
Redemption
2

may
have
been
released
on

PC

back
in
2019,
but
it’s
still
very
popular.
So
popular,
in
fact,
that
the
game
has
just
set
a
new
record
peak
concurrent
player
count.

The
epic
western
from
Rockstar
has
enjoyed
consistently
high
player
counts
over
the
years,
typically
bringing
in
over
20,000
concurrent
players
every
day
on
Steam.
That’s
despite
Rockstar
announcing
in
2022
that
they
would
no
be
releasing
any
more
major
updates
for
the
game’s
multiplayer.

Right
now
the
game
is

enjoying
a
pretty
substantial
75%
discount
on
Steam,

bringing
the
price
down
to
£15.
That’s
probably
why
the
game
just
achieved
the
highest
number
of
concurrent
players
in
its
PC
history,
peaking
at
an
impressive

99,993

players
3
days
ago
according
to
SteamDB.

When
Red
Dead
Redemption
2
first
launched
on
PC
it
managed
to
hit
a
peak
concurrent
player
count
of
around
55,000.

The
game
goes
on
sale
frequently
for
£19.79,
but
on
January
23rd
it
dropped
to
just
£15,
the
lowest
it
has
ever
been
on
Steam.
For
that,
you
get
one
of
the
greatest
games
ever
and
potentially
hundreds
of
hours
of
gameplay.
Not
a
bad
deal,
really.
