It
seems
Focus
Entertainment,
Saber
Interactive
and
Games
Workshop
want
to
strike
while
the
bolter
bullet
is
still
hot,
announcing
the
existence
of
Warhammer
40K:
Space
Marine
3.
The
previous
game,
Space
Marine
2,
was
launched
just
6
months
ago.
The
new
game
is
apparently
just
entering
development,
meaning
we
probably
won’t
get
to
play
it
for
at
least
a
few
years.
I’m
personally
not
a
fan
of
announcing
games
this
far
out
from
their
actual
release,
but
I
assume
the
companies
involved
wanted
to
get
this
announcement
out
of
the
way
to
help
boost
their
stock
prices.
Unsurprisingly,
very
little
was
revealed
about
the
third
game,
and
the
announcement
trailer
was
little
more
than
lead
character
Titus
and
the
sound
of
hammering
rain.
But
that
isn’t
going
to
stop
me
throwing
out
some
speculation:
Space
Marine
3
was
see
Titus
going
up
against
the
Necron.
The
last
we
heard,
Space
Marine
2
had
sold
4.5
million
copies
by
October
of
2024..
That
number
hasn’t
been
updated
since
but
it
seems
a
safe
bet
that
it
has
surpassed
5
million
by
this
point.
“Today,
we
are
thrilled
to
announce
that
the
adventure
will
continue
with
Space
Marine
3.
Players
can
look
forward
to
an
immersive
campaign,
a
multiplayer
mode,
and
innovations
that
will
redefine
the
standards
of
third-person
action
games.
Developed
in
close
collaboration
with
Games
Workshop,
Warhammer
40,000:
Space
Marine
3
will
take
the
genre
to
new
heights
by
introducing
large-scale
battles
that
are
even
more
spectacular,” said
John
Bert,
Deputy
CEO
of
Focus
Entertainment
Publishing.
Matthew
Karch
of
Saber
Interactive
chimed
in
to
confirm
that
support
for
Space
Marine
2
will
continue:
“While
we
will
continue
to
support
and
grow
the
Space
Marine
2
universe
over
the
coming
years,
we
will
take
all
our
learnings
and
apply
them
to
an
even
bigger
and
more
spectacular
game
for
the
third
installment”
