Yesterday
news
broke
via
professional
skateboarder
Tyshawn
Jones that
a
new
Tony
Hawks
remaster
is
in
the
works
and
is
“about
to
come
out.”
While
Tyshawn
did
not
specifically
mention
which
game
was
being
remastered,
the
obvious
assumption
was
that
it
would
be
a
combination
of
Tony
Hawk’s
Pro
Skater
3
and
4,
to
follow-up
on
the
success
Tony
Hawk’s
Pro
Skater
1+2
remaster
from
a
few
years
ago.
This
assumption
has
seemingly
been
confirmed
to
be
accurate
by
a
new
report
from
Spanish
insider
eXtas1s.
His
track
record
is
somewhat
mixed,
but
when
it
comes
to
Xbox,
and
more
specifically
Xbox
Gamepass,
he
tends
to
be
fairly
reliable.

Speaking
on
his
Youtube
channel,
eXtas1s
says
that
Tyshawn’s
comments
helped
him
piece
everything
together,
confirming
that
a
project
named
Project
Chicago
is
in
fact
Tony
Hawk’s
Pro
Skater
3+4.
But
eXtas1s
goes
a
bit
further
by
saying
that
he
knows
when
it’s
coming
out.
According
to
what
he’s
heard,
the
remaster
will
launch
in
June
of
this
year.
Even
more
specifically,
it’s
going
to
be
shadow
dropped
at
the
Xbox
Showcase
happening
that
month.
He
goes
on
to
speculate
that
it
will
likely
be
available
on
Game
Pass
straight
away,
and
that
it’s
probably
going
to
come
to
PS5
and
Switch
2
as
well.
Please
note,
I
took
the
transcript
of
the
video
in
question
and
used
Google
translate
to
read
through
what
eXtas1s
said
but
have
not
included
the
exact
text
here
as
the
translation
is
rather
rough.
All
of
this
just
leaves
one
question:
who
is
developing
the
new
remaster?
Vicarious
Visions
handled
Tony
Hawk’s
pro
Skater
1+2
but
they
were
merged
into
Blizzard.
However,
the
team
does
still
exist
in
the
same
offices,
now
going
by
the
name
Blizzard
Albany.
They
would
presumably
be
the
first
choice
for
handling
the
remaster.
Failing
that,
there’s
a
possibility
that
Toys
For
Bob,
a
former
Activision
studio
that
reached
a
deal
with
Microsoft
to
go
independent,
could
be
handling
the
project
as
they
have
experience
with
the
franchise.
Although
it
is
possible
that
Toys
for
Bob
might
currently
be
working
on
a
new
Spyro
game.
