We’ve
known
about
it
for
some
time
now,
but
The
Witcher
4
made
its
official
debut
at
this
years
The
Game
Awards
with
a
spectacular
trailer
starring
an
older,
grizzled
Ciri.

No
gameplay
was
shown,
sadly,
but
CGI
trailer
was
gorgeous
and
showed
Ciri
going
up
against
a
horrifying
monster
before
unleashing
some
of
her
powers.
Like
Geralt
before
her
she
fights
with
a
sword,
but
also
wields
some
sort
of
chain
that
she
used
to
wrap
up
the
monster
before
igniting
it.

But
in
true
Witcher
fashion,
the
trailer
reminds
us
that
sometimes
the
monsters
are
human.

“Gods!?
There
are
no
Gods
here,
only
monsters”
says
Ciri.

We
also
got
to
briefly
hear
Geralt.
Will
he
make
an
appearance
in
The
Witcher
4
as
well?

No
release
date
was
mentioned,
but
developer
CDProjektRED
has
hinted
in
the
past
that
it
will
be
released
before
2027.
