The
Witcher
3:
Wild
Hunt
has
already
cemented
itself
as
one
of
the
biggest
games
ever,
but
just
in
case
there
was
any
hint
of
doubt
left,
it
has
now
sold
over
60
million
copies.
Revealed
in
CD
Projekt
RED’s
latest
financial
report,
that
figure
includes
the
main
game
and
the
Game
of
the
Year
version.
Expansions
are
not
included
in
the
sales
figures.
60
million
copies
would
secure
The
Witcher
3
the
12th
spot
on
the
list
of
best-selling
games
according
to
Wikipedia.
Skyrim
should
technically
be
in
that
spot,
but
we
haven’t
heard
how
many
copies
it
has
sold
since
2023
when
Bethesda’s
Todd
Howard
told
IGN
in
an
interview
that
it
had
surpassed
60
million
copies
sold.
Bethesda
has
never
officially
confirmed
those
figures,
meaning
the
Wikipedia
list
doesn’t
count
them.
If
Todd’s
numbers
are
accurate,
Skyrim
is
probably
still
ahead
of
The
Witcher
3
as
it
will
undoubtedly
have
sold
a
few
more
copies
since
2023.
The
Witcher
3
recently
celebrated
it’s
10th
anniversary.
“Without
a
doubt,
the
third
part
of
Geralt’s
adventures
marks
a
pivotal
point
in
our
history.
The
game
earned
hundreds
of
awards
and
solidified
our
studio’s
standing,
but
more
importantly,
it
brought
untold
hours
of
adventures
and
emotions
to
millions
of
games
the
world
over,”
said
Adam
Badowski,
joint
CEO
of
CD
Projekt.
“I
am
proud
to
announce
that
since
its
release
The
Witcher
3
has
sold
over
60
million
copies,
securing
a
place
among
the
bestselling
video
games
in
all
history,
and
motivating
us
to
carry
on
with
intensive
work
on
the
next
trilogy
set
in
this
universe.”
