Sony’s
State
of
Play
event
has
dropped
a
surprise:

Palworld,
the
former
Xbox
console
exclusive,
is
available
today
on
PS5!

Palworld
became
incredibly
successful
when
it
launched
toward
the
start
of
the
year,

drawing
in
staggering
amounts
of
players
across
PC,
Xbox
and
via
Game
Pass.

However,
its
surprise
reveal
at
today’s
event
is
somewhat
dampened
by
the
recent
news
that

Nintendo
is
suing
the
developers
of
Palworld
for
patent
infringement.
It’s
a
potentially
lengthy
and
costly
legal
battle,
and
I
have
to
imagine
Sony
had
some
hurried
discussion
about
whether
to
even
feature
the
game
in
the
State
of
Play.

According
to
the
trailer,
Palworld
is
“out
today!”
but
as
of
writing
this
it
hasn’t
actually
appeared
on
the
PlayStation
store.
It
should
be
up
soon,
though.
