GTA 6 On PC Is Apparently Launching In Early 2027, Says New Report

GTA 6’s launch is rapidly approaching, but while it’s all fun and games for console players, PC players remain unsure as to when they will get to play the game, as no official PC version has been announced. Which is probably why CyberLeek’s threat to release a fully playable build is so enticing to PC owners. But there might be some good news: GTA 6 is said to be launching on PC in the first quarter of 2027.

That’s according to Alexander Lee over on Gamesbeat.com. Speaking with “four industry sources familiar with the studio’s plans,” Gamesbeat says they’ve been told the PC release is planned for Q1 of 2027.

This also lines up with what Twitch chief executive Dan Clancy said to Bloomberg in an interview. He claimed the PC version would drop in 2027, and he said it with confidence.

Q1 would give us a time frame of January-March of 2027, which would be a much quicker-than-normal turnaround for the PC port. Both San Andreas and GTA IV took 7 months to come out on PC, while GTA V didn’t get a port for 19 months, a fact that angered a lot of people. If GTA 6 does drop in the first few months of the year, that would be a range of 1.5 months to 4.5 months, vastly quickly than normal.

With all of this said, the PC crowd doesn’t have much faith in Rockstar and Take-Two when it comes to launching their games on PC in timely fashion, so I doubt they’ll want to hold their breath until we get some official confirmation.
