God of War: Ragnarok will be announced for PC soon, it seems

According
to
the
typically
quite
reliable
bilbil-kun,
Sony
intends
on
announcing

God
of
War:
Ragnarok

for
PC,
possibly
within
the
month.

The
timing
would
fit
with
other
insider
reports
suggesting
that

Sony
may
be
planning
a
PlayStation
Showcase
during
May.

God
of
War:
Ragnarok
launched
in
November
of
2022
to
massive
critical
acclaim
and
huge
commercial
success.
That
same
year
Herman
Hulst
of
PlayStation
stated
that,
““I
think
going
forward
we’ll
see
at
least
a
year
between
releases
on
PlayStation
and
on
the
PC
platform,
possibly
with
the
exception
of
live
service
games.”

Since
then
though,
the
company
has
also
indicated
that
it
intends
on
pursuing
the
PC
market
more
“aggressively.”

Even
so,
we’ve
typically
seen
a
gap
of
two
or
more
years
between
PlayStation
games
hitting
the
console
and
then
coming
to
PC.
For
example,

Horizon:
Forbidden
West

came
out
the
same
year
as
Ragnarok
and
landed
on
PC
just
over
two
years
later.
Ratchet
and
Clank:
Rift
Apart
was
a
2021
game
and
it
was
ported
over
to
PC
in
2023.

If
Sony
keeps
the
same
logic,
Ragnarok
would
likely
arrive
on
PC
toward
the
very
end
of
this
year
or
at
the
beginning
of
2025.

However,
there
doesn’t
seem
to
be
a
consistent
thread
of
logic
dictating
when
Sony
releases
its
games.
Ghost
of
Tsushima
is
coming
to
PC
this
month,
for
example,
but
was
launched
on
PS4
in
2020.
Probably
the
most
notable
big
game
that
hasn’t
gone
over
to
PC
is
The
Last
of
Us
Part
2.
It
came
out
in
2020
and
still
hasn’t
come
to
PC.
It’s
very
likely
Sony
is
holding
it
back
to
coincide
with
the
launch
of
season
2
of
the
TV
show
which
should
be
in
2025.

There’s
also
Gran
Turismo
7
which
also
came
out
in
2022
along
with
Ragnarok
and
Forbidden
West,
so
is
there
a
chance
we
may
see
a
PC
announcement
for
it
this
year?
