Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag Remake Teased by Matt Ryan

A
remaster
or
remake
of
Assassin’s
Creed
4:
Black
Flag
has
seemingly
all
been
but
confirmed
by
the
voice
of
Edward
Kenway
himself,
Matt
Ryan.

During
a
fan
interaction
posted
originally
to
TikTok,
Matt
Ryan
was
signing
a
piece
of
Assassin’s
Creed
4:
Black
Flag
when
he
said:
“Have
you
beat
the
game?…
well
you
may
have
to
beat
it
again”
before
teasing
that,
“There’s
a
reason
I
say
that
but
I
can’t
say
anything…”
with
a
smirk.

Ryan
is
careful
not
to
say
anything
directly,
but
his
wording
certainly
seems
to
imply
Black
Flag
is
going
to
sail
the
seas
again.

At
this
point,
it’s
commonly
accepted
that
Assassin’s
Creed
4:
Black
Flag
will
get
some
kind
of
remake
or
remaster.
Back
in
2024,

Ubisoft
themselves
confirmed
that
several
Assassin’s
Creed
games
are
being
remade,

but
wouldn’t
specify
which
ones.

More
recently,

the
remake
was
spotted
on
LinkedIn

when
a
Ubisoft
developer
listed
it
on
their
CV.
This
was
the
same
leak
in
which
the
Elder
Scrolls
4:
Oblivion
remake
was
spotted.
Interestingly,
the
leak
also
seemed
to
suggest
it
wouldn’t
just
be
a
graphical
overhaul.
Tom
Henderson
over
at
Insider
Gaming
had
previously
reported
that
the
remake
would

feature
gameplay
changes
as
well,
and
was
being
made
under
the
codename
Obsidian.

He
also
reported
at
the
time
that
the
game
was
planned
for
a
November,
2025
release.

And
then
there
was
a
statue
company
hinting
at
Black
Flag
being
remade
,
in
case
you
wanted
more
evidence.

In
other
words,
it
looks
like
one
of
the
best
Assassin’s
Creed
games
is
coming
back,
and
I
can’t
wait.
