Days Gone Remastered Will Have New Trophies To Unlock

We’re
around
a
month
away
from
Days
Gone
Remastered
launching
on
April
25,
a
shiny
new
edition
of
Bend
Studio’s
somewhat
overlooked
open-world
zombie
game.
If
you
want
to
know
the
details
of
how
to
upgrade
your
copy
of
the
game
for
$10
to
the
new
edition,

check
out
my
quick
guide
here.

The
new
edition
will,
of
course,
have
upgraded
graphics
but
it’s
also
coming
with
some
new
content.
And
it’s
because
of
that
new
content
that

Bend
Studios
has
announced
the
remaster
will
also
have
six
new
trophies
to
unlock.

Most
are
based
on
the
Horde
Assault
mode,
but
there’s
also
a
trophy
for
beating
the
new
Permadeath
mode,
along
with
one
called
Sarah’s
Gift
which
requires
players
to
find
something
Deacon
thought
lost.

Here’s
the
new
trophies
in
more
detail:

More
Freakers,
More
Problems
Defeat
an
increased
size
horde
in
Horde
Assault

I’m
On
Top
of
the
World
Beat
the
target
score
for
all
levels
in
Horde
Assault

Freakshow
Survive
Horde
Assault
for
15
minutes

Survivor

Achieve
max
level
in
Horde
Assault

Dead
Don’t
Ride
Complete
the
story
of
Days
Gone
in
Permadeath
mode
on
any
difficulty

Sarah’s
Gift
Find
something
important
to
Deacon
that
was
thought
lost

Fun
fact:
“Dead
Don’t
Ride”
was
actually
going
to
be
the
name
of
the
game
before
it
was
changed
to
Days
Gone.

Sarah’s
Gift
most
likely
refers
a
special
paint
job
Deacon
has
on
his
bike
in
the
prologue.
He
refers
to
as
being
a
gift
from
Sarah,
and
after
the
prologue
there’s
no
way
of
getting
it
back.
It
sounds
like
there
will
now
be
a
way
of
getting,
perhaps
hinting
at
some
new
story
content
somewhere
along
the
line.
That’s
maybe
just
wishful
thinking,
though.

Permadeath
is
exactly
what
you’d
expect:
a
more
hardcore
survival
experience
where
dying
equals
game
over.
Well,
almost.
If
beating
the
game
on
Permadeath
sounds
daunting
then
there
is
some
good
news:
if
you
do
die,
there
is
a
single
checkpoint
you
can
reload
at
the
beginning
of
the
game’s
second
chapter.

It’s
also
worth
remembering
that
any
trophies
unlocked
in
the
PS4
version
of
the
game
will
automatically
pop
for
you
in
the
upgrade.
That
will
be
helpful
because
it
seems
like
getting
the
Platinum
in
the
remaster
will
be
a
lot
harder,
unless
they
are
somehow
going
to
be
separate
from
the
rest
of
the
list.

As
for
Horde
Assault,
it’s
leveraging
the
power
of
the
PS5
to
enable
even
bigger
hordes
of

zombies

Freakers
on
screen.
By
surviving
as
long
as
possible
you’ll
earn
points
and
in-game
rewards.

All
of
this
sounds
pretty
amazing
since
I’m
a
big
fan
of

Days
Gone
.
However,
I’m
one
of
the
people
who
can’t
make
use
of
the
$10
upgrade
path
and
so
will
likely
never
play
the
remaster,
at
least
unless
it
goes
on
a
deep
sale.
I
owned
the
game
originally
on
disc
but
got
rid
of
that
when
Sony
gave
the
game
away
for
free
as
part
of
PS
Plus.
Unfortunately,
as
stated
in
my
guide,
anyone
who
got
the
game
via
this
way
cannot
use
the
$10
upgrade
path.
