Thousands comment on se qld plan; not just’make some money, help fund the party’

A Queensland politician has promised to support former Labor MP Ian Macdonald’s proposal to “make it easier” for people to donate money directly to him because he wants to see more candidates on QLD ballot papers.

The Liberal National party candidate for Ipswich, Steve Ritchie, said on Wednesday he would support Mr Macdonald’s idea of a direct donation scheme for candidates, ins007카지노tead of using the 세종출장샵Queensland Electoral Commission to collect signatures from ordinary members.

Mr Ritchie told the Ipswich Herald Sun he was interested in giving away the money to candidates who he thought would get more support in an election and would be more likely to run in the seat.

“I think it would be helpful for people to know there is a chance they will get a ballot paper in the seat.” he said.

“I think it’s helpful for local people to know there is a chance they will get a ballot paper. And because we’ve got candidates like myself who have never before had more than 1,000 people vote for them, as well as people who aren’t even registered. We need to keep running candidates to encourage more people to vote, not just for the party, but for the movement.”

Labor Senator Steve Dickson is campaigning against the Direct Money scheme.

“I support direct donations,” Mr Dickson told ABC’s Insiders program.

“People of this country are the ones being encouraged to contribute to a party by money from a direct donation scheme.”

But Mr Ritchie said the proposal was “not going to work”.

“In fact, the Direct Money scheme might actually result in more people coming forward.”

“In order for us to have a fair and transparent ballot paper process in Queensland, which we believe we’ll have, we need to keep raising the profile of candidates and increase the number of registered candidates.”

Mr Dickson did not commit to supporting the scheme.
