weeks
ago,

PlayStation
announced
that
it
was
raising
the
price
of
the
PS5
yet
again.
Perhaps
that
was
an
ill
omen
because
now
Microsoft
is
treading
that
same
path,
revealing
that
the

Xbox
is
going
to
get
a
price
hike,
along
with
some
of
its
games
and
accessories.
Check

to
see
the
new
prices.

The
new
prices
will
go
into
effect…well,
now,
actually.
On
top
of
that,
Microsoft
also
stated
that
this
summer
the
price
of
“some”
of
its
first-party
titles
will
go
up
to
$80.

This
is
in
line
with
Nintendo,
which
recently
said
that
Mario
Kart
World
will
retail
for
$80.

Xbox
controllers
are
also
going
up
in
price.

“As
of
May
1,
we
have
adjusted
recommended
retailer
pricing
for
our
consoles
and
controllers
worldwide,”

said
the
official
Xbox
website.
“We
also
expect
to
adjust
the
pricing
of
some
of
our
new,
first-party
games
starting
this
holiday
season
to
$79.99.
Those
titles
purchased
on
the
Xbox
Store
have
the
benefit
of
Xbox
Play
Anywhere,
allowing
players
to
buy
once
and
play
on
console
and
PC
at
no
additional
cost.”
