More than 50 killed in pakistan mosque blast, sources say
ISLAMABAD: At least 50 people were killed and several other더킹카지노 injured in an alleged attack in southern Pakistan’s Pashtun-dominated Punjab province on Monday morning, officials said.
An official of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) told the Dawn that a building in Miranshah, in the eastern part of the Punjab province, was targeted.
He said police believed the targeted building is connec더킹카지노ted to terrorist organisations and the blast took place just after midnight on Monday.
The FIA said four assailants were shot dead during the attack.
The attack took place just hours after six suicide bombers targeted two bus stop in Jammu and Kashmir’s Indian state of Kashmir with suicide belts at approximately 6 a.m. local time (10 a.m. ET), on Saturday. Security forces on Monday in the eastern province of Waziristan killed four terrorists in a separate operation, according to Pakistan Army sources.
Two militants were killed in an operation in a village in the eastern region of Paktia, and a local official told reporters that the same area of the tribal region of North Waziristan has also been cleared of terrorists.
The provincial administration had on Tuesday told media that a probe was on into the alleged explosion in the Miranshah area, and security forces had conducted an air raid on the premises of the target building to check if explosives were placed there.
Another area was sealed under anti-terrorism laws, in accordance with a court order, according to reports.
