Lies
of
P
was
a
massive
success
for
developer
Round8,
managing
to
reach
7
million
players
as
of
last
year.
And
to
capitalise
on
that
success,
Round8
used
the
latest
PlayStation
State
of
Play
event
to
announced
Lies
of
P:
Overture,
a
piece
of
DLC
that
ventures
back
in
time.
Described
as
taking
the
story
“back
to
the
beginning
of
the
Puppet
Frenzy”,
Overture
will
launch
on
PlayStation,
Xbox
and
PC
this
year
and
will
follow
the
events
leading
up
to
the
main
game.
“We
knew
that
the
end
of Lies
of
P was
just
the
beginning
for
what
our
team
had
in
store
for
fans,”
said
Jiwon
Choi,
game
director,
ROUND8
Studios.
“Lies
of
P:
Overture allows
us
the
opportunity
to
fully
explore
the
past
and
present
of
our
universe.
We
are
grateful
for
our
community’s
patience
as
our
team
took
the
time
to
tell
the
story
we’ve
always
wanted
to
share.”
While
the
expansion
is
obviously
major
news,
there’s
still
a
full-fledged
sequel
in
development
that
builds
on
the
main
game’s
fantastic
teaser.
that
shows
up
after
the
credits.
