Legacy
of
Kain
Soul
Reaver
1
&
2
Remastered
has
briefly
appeared
on
the
PlayStation
Store,
seemingly
confirming
a
leak
that
occurred
this
Summer
when
a
remastered
version
of
the
two
games
was
mentioned
on
the
base
of
a
statue
at
San
Diego
Comic-Con.
The
branding
was
quickly
removed,
but
it
was
too
late
because
fans
worldwide(myself
very
much
included)
were
hyped
by
the
idea
that
Kain
and
Raziel
might
be
returning
in
remastered
form.

Now,
it
seems
like
the
leak
was
legit.
The
remaster
appeared
on
PSN,
complete
with
screenshots,
a
trailer
and
a
release
date
of
December
10th.
The
most
likely
explanation
is
it
was
accidentally
uploaded
to
PlayStation
Network
early
ahead
of
its
official
reveal
at
today’s
State
of
Play.
There’s
also
a
good
chance
that
remasters
of
both
Horizon:
Zero
Dawn
and
Days
Gone
will
also
be
appearing
at
the
event
if
recent
rumours
are
accurate.
The
listing
specifically
states
it
will
contain
the
first
two
games,
excluding
the
third
one.
It’s
a
weird
choice,
especially
since
the
second
game
ends
on
a
massive
cliffhanger.
Doing
the
whole
trilogy
would
have
made
more
sense,
to
me,
but
perhaps
they
want
to
hold
it
back
for
a
separate
release.
Over
on
X,
Wario64
managed
to
grab
the
trailer
and
screenshots
before
they
were
taken
down.
More
screenshots
can
be
found
on
Resetera,
where
it
was
also
mentioned
that
Aspyr
is
the
developer.

The
hope,
of
course,
is
that
if
a
remaster
proves
successful
it
could
pave
the
way
for
a
proper
sequel
or
reboot
of
some
kind.
I
know
I
lost
countless
hours
to
Soul
Reveal
on
PlayStation
and
would
love
to
see
the
universe
brought
back.
