have
directly
commented
on
the
recent
report
from
Rebs
Gaming,
a
very
reliable
source
of
all
things
Halo,
that
a
big
Halo
announcement
is
coming
this
year,
with
the
reveal
being
due

“Over
the
past
few
weeks, there’s been
a
fair amount
of
speculation
about when and
where more
details might emerge about any of
the multiple projects Halo
Studios
is
actively
working
on,”

said
the
post
on
Halo
Waypoint. “We don’t usually
comment
on such matters, but this
time
we want
to
enter
the
chat
and share
a
little more
perspective for Halo
fans
who might be
on
the fence
about whether to attend
this
year’s
event.”

The
post
goes
on
to
discuss
last
year’s
HaloWC
where
they
announced
Halo’s
future
would
be
on
Unreal
Engine.

“at
this year’s HaloWC,
we
look
forward
to continuing
the
conversation,”
says
Halo
Studios.
“Speculation
is always
fun,
but if
you want
the official scoop on what
Halo
Studios has
been
working
on, you won’t want
to
miss this
year’s Halo World
Championship. We really
hope you’ll join
us in
Seattle
this October!”

The
rumours
that
Halo
Studios
talk’s
about
in
their
post
go
far
deeper
than
just
a
few
weeks,
though.
For
example,
earlier
this
year
Tom
Warren
of
the
Verge
briefly
mentioned
that
yet
another
remake
of
the
original
Halo
might
be
coming
to
PlayStation
5
as
a
way
of
letting
the
series
gain
a
foothold
on
Sony’s
machine.

Nate
the
Hate
also
reported
on
the
Master
Chief
Collection
making
its
way
to
PlayStation
5.

Phil
Spencer,
the
big
chief
of
Xbox,
also
recently
hinted
that
2026
might
see
the
return
of
Halo
in
one
form
or
another,
although
he
didn’t
outright
say
it.
2026
marks
the
25th
Anniversary
of
Xbox,
and
Spencer
confirmed
that
Gears
of
War:
E-Day,
Fable
and
the
next
Forza
would
all
be
releasing
,
and
that
it
will
also
mark
“the
return
of
a
classic
that’s
been
with
us
since
the
beginning.”
Given
that
the
theme
seems
to
be
celebrating
the
anniversary
with
the
major
pillars
of
Xbox,
it
makes
sense
that
the
fourth
game
would
be
Halo,
in
one
form
or
another.

Of
course,
at
this
point
Halo
on
PlayStation
is
just
a
matter
of
time.
The
real
question
is
what’s
coming
next:
another
remake
of
the
original
game?
A
port
of
the
Master
Chief
Collection?
Or
a
brand
new
Halo?
