Arkane’s Next Game (Blade?) Is In Full Production

Back
in
2023,
Arkane
Studios
announced
it
was
working
on
Blade,
a
new
game
based
on
Marvel’s
badass
vampire
hunter
of
the
same
name.
Since
then
we
have
heard
almost
nothing
about
the
game
or
its
projected
release
date,
leading
most
to
believe
it
is
still
years
way.
And
now
we
know
that’s
almost
certainly
true,
thanks
to
Arkane’s
latest
financial
result.

It
was
an
X
user
by
the
name
of
Timur222
that
read
through
the
financial
reported
and
noted
that
“The
production
phase
of
the
AAA
game
project
was
launched
at
the
end
of
2024,
following
prototype
validation.”

Now,
the
financial
document
in
question
doesn’t
specifically
mention
Blade,
so
there
is
a
chance
it’s
something
else.
Perhaps
Dishonored
3?
But
the
likelihood
is
that
it’s
Blade,
as
that’s
currently
the
only
game
officially
announced
by
Arkane
to
be
in
development.
Deathloop
2
could
also
be
a
possibility,
I
suppose.

Whatever
it
is,
if
it’s
only
just
entered
production,
it’s
likely
at
least
a
few
years
away.
In
other
words,
we’re
probably
looking
at
late
2026,
early
2027
at
the
very
least,
but
it’s
far
more
likely
to
be
2028
onwards.

If
it
is
Blade,
then
it’s
yet
another
case
of
a
developer/publisher
announcing
projects
too
early.
