Looks Like Death Stranding 2 Will Be Announced For PC Soon

Just like its predecessor, it seems like Death Death Stranding 2: On the BeachStranding 2: On the Beach is heading for a PC launch shortly after its release.

How do we know this? Simple, my package-delivering friend: it has been rated by the ESRB. The page has since been taken down, but a PC version of Death Stranding 2: On The Beach popped up and was given an official rating. It listed Sony Interactive Publishing (SIE) as the publisher.

If you’re confused because Kojima now owns the rights to Death Stranding then don’t panic, because you’re right. However, Sony still owns the actual publishing rights, hence their name being attached. Confusingly, the first game’s PC publication was handled by 505 Games.

The original Death Stranding took about 8 months before it made the trip to PC land, whereas it has been just 4 months since Death Stranding 2 delivered itself to console.

The Game Awards is going to kick off in just a few short weeks, and we all know that Geoff Keighley and Kojima are basically a married couple at this point, so an announcement there makes sense. Plus, Death Stranding 2 is nominated for a bunch of awards.

Going back to the ESRB rating for a second, this is all but official confirmation. The ESRB system means things can’t really be listed accidentally, and a rating usually means it’s quite close to release.
