Microsoft is reportedly working for its Xbox one family to be able to use Amazon Alexa and Google assistant support soon the Xbox is expected to come with a new digital assistance menu for users to choose between Alexa Google assistant and Cortana to control the device using voice commands with according to a report on Windows central citing a reliable source who is familiar with Amazon and Microsoft's efforts to link Alexa and Cortana the Kinect end devices option in work-in-progress Xbox one OS builds have a section called digital assistance that lets you use your Xbox one with these options at the moment the full set of features for these are unknown but it could bring back voice assisted features kenick users want Microsoft along with Amazon and Google might give some of the voice assisted dedicated microphone features to the report added throwing the fact that Albert Panello X marketing lead at Microsoft for Xbox has joined Amazon to grow echos gaming presence it lends credence to the possibility that integrating smart speakers with the Xbox one is on the cards it's also easy to imagine a few gaming related voice commands such as recording a video clip launching specific games and sending invites to friends there's no word on a launch date for the feature but the annual III gaming expo in Los Angeles kicks off next week Microsoft could officially reveal the feature at its pre e3 2018 conference on June 10th
