Battlefield 6 Is The Best-Selling Game of 2025 In The US So Far (And other Cool Data)

Ah, numbers. Who doesn’t like some shiny statistics that allow us to endlessly argue about which game is the bestest? In this instance, it’s some tasty Circana data that claims Battlefield 6 is the top game of 2025 so far, in terms of dollar sales.

Matt Piscatella of Circana took to BlueSky to share some insights, the biggest of which is that Battlefield 6 is currently the best-selling game of the year in the US so far, based on dollar sales. Of course, the battle of titans is just beginning as Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 dropped recently, and so far seems like it isn’t doing very well compared to last years Call of Duty. But even a weakened Call of Duty is still a powerhouse. Will it be enough to fend off Battlefield 6?

Speaking of Call of Duty, last year’s Black Ops 6 is currently sitting as the 7th best-selling game in the US of this year, which is hilarious.

Matt Piscatella breaks down the success of Battlefield 6 for us a little bit more in the thead, stating: “Battlefield 6 is currently the best-selling game of 2025 on both the Xbox and the PC aggregated storefront charts, while ranking 2nd year-to-date on PlayStation.”

Apparently, the shooter is also responsible for the biggest single month of dollar sales in the last three years.

“Battlefield 6 produced the highest single month US physical & digital full game tracked dollar sales total in 3 years. The last title to generate a larger full game tracked dollar sales total in a single month was Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II in October 2022,” said Piscatella, his hands summoning stats and data in the air in front of him, as if he is reading the matrix itself. Okay, that’s probably me imagining things, but it’s a cool visual, right?

Meanwhile, PlayStation exclusive Ghost of Yotei has jumped from 18th to 10th, a very respectable position for a game only available on a single platform. In fact, it’s currently the highest platform exclusive on the board.

I also noted that The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is holding 6th place, providing that The Elder Scrolls is still a big deal. Bit of a shame we won’t be getting the next one anytime soon, isn’t it?
