ARC Raiders Has Sold 2.5 Million Copies, According To Analytics Firm

ARC Raiders is out there proving that paid extraction shooters can compete in today’s market, selling an impressive 2.5 million copies and bringing in a revenue of over $100 million.

This number once again comes from Alinea Analytics, so as always don’t take them as gospel truth. But they have proven fairly reliable so far.

Alinea is reporting 2.5m copies of ARC Raiders have been sold. The majority of players are on PC, where 1.7 millon copies have been shifted. A quick glance on SteamDB shows that it’s bringing in around 300,000+ concurrent players each day. Of course, it’s still new so that number will settle down over time, but considering the dev’s have already announced future content and plans, people will hopefully stick around.

PlayStation is in second place with over 400k copies sold, and Xbox is actually surprisingly close with 300k copies.

ARC Raiders dev Embark made the call to shift the game to a premium model 6 months after Helldivers 2 showed the world that a live-service game doesn’t need to be free-to-play to be a hit. Looks like that was the right choice.

And it isn’t just copies sold, either – people are loving the game! It currently boasts a “Very Positive” rating on Steam and a very impressive 92 on Opencritic.
