hey guys welcome back in this video I'm gonna be doing a quick unboxing and review of the Xiaomi me box and let me just tell you right off the bat guys this is not like your typical cheap Android TV box this box is fully licensed from Google is running the full version of Android TV which is the same as your Nvidia shield on top of that this is one of the very few boxes that has the Netflix certification which we spun this box you can watch Netflix in 4k so lots of great features guys and this box only cost 50 pounds so for the price point I think this could be a real winner guys so let me do a quick unboxing then I'll take you to the setup process we'll check out some android games i watched some 4k videos check out Kodi trim TV and some other apks did i end up on some benchmarks so with all of that being said let's get started ok let's open that up ok Sumitra do we see this is the Shamy box let me just take that out I guess first I've got a small pamphlet in Chinese just tell you how to plug the Box in then we got the same one again just showing how to plug the box in but this time in English looks pretty straight forward through that the warranty in support and just some general product information okay so in here we've got a standard HDMI cable we've got UK power adapter and then we have a very basically the remote control but I think definitely by far one of the best things we can see straight away guys is we have voice search and I think just using that on the Amazon forest it just makes the process so much easier so it's great to see that also in this box so this is everything that you get in the Box cards and let me just quickly take you through the specification so ok so CP this has the s 905 quad-core CPU running 2 gigahertz as the Mali 450 GPU we've got 2 gigabytes of RAM 8 gigabytes of storage this does support dual band Wi-Fi which I think it's a very important feature if you want buffer free viewing we have Bluetooth version 4 this has the fully licensed Android TV operating system version 6 it supports a Google cast it has that built in it supports 4k Ultra HD videos at 60 frames per second it does support HDR 10 guys I'm telling you you're not going to find many boxes that support HDR 10 out of the box and it also supports Dolby Digital let me just take you through the ports guys on the front here we have what looks like an IR blaster we have nothing on the side then on the back here you've got the power input we got a USB port you go HDMI out got audio jack which is a 35 meter size wise guys it does have a very small footprint and it does have a really nice premium field so it does have a nice weight to it so I'm hoping some good stuff with this let me plug this in now guys and I'll take you through the setup process and we'll go through some of the demos so just entered in the Wi-Fi settings and I'm greeted with this this is the standard Android TV operating system so I think it's a very nice clean layouts at the top here you go some of the recommended section here you got some recommended applications and then by default as this is a Google device you call up the google apps down here let me show you the settings and as we can seen a display guys this does have the HDR if your TV supports it let's back out there this does have the Google cost built-in if I just show you the storage so you can see out of the box cause this has about five gigabytes of free space now so one of the good features about this device guys is that you can plug in a standard USB stake and then format so the device will see it as internal storage so it's very easy to expand the built-in storage just going to see about certainly about guys we can see this is running android TV version 6

01 and up here we have system update because this is an official licensed device guys you will get updates over the air which is an OTA update and as we can see guys there is an update waiting for me to install slimmies quickly install that now ok so the system is now updated let me just show you had the voice search work so at the top a bigger section for voice search or you can type something in alternative you can just press the voice button on the remote so let me just do that now and here we can literally just search for anything we can search for applications we can search for YouTube videos we can even ask questions like what's the weather in London and we get the answer back like that so really handy I think guys I let me just search YouTube for example so let me just search for totally random channel on YouTube typed up the UK YouTube and there you go guys we can see it works really well I can second any of these videos and watch them I can also to open certain applications I can say open Google Play Store so I think voice such is a fantastic feature of this device so this arose on want install Kodiak just search for Cody Cody app can click on that takes me straight to the page and I can now install it so very very easy guys except that let me just try some 4k video from a USB drive and see how Cody performs on this device so we can see guys who can handle pretty much all of those videos without any issue take that uppercut and yes I have no idea what I'm doing but we can see guys the few games I did try from the play store all work without any problem so definitely for the light game here or there I think this box is more than adequate I also installed a Kodi build just to check the performance and as you can imagine guys on a box with this much power the build just flies so really any build a decided point from Cody you won't have any issues running down on this device literally just whizzing through the menus clicking on stuff everything was just lightning fast and here we have chrome TV and as you can imagine guys on this box it just flies someone quickly put something on let's try this one here and let's click on play let's choose the first one let's click on play and that's working absolutely fine so on n22 benchmark this device gets thirty six thousand and forty four now compare that to a forester which gets round about twenty five thousand we can see this device is a lot more powerful and that's a very good score at this price point so in summary or say this is a fantastic device I really like the Android TV operating system having the voice remote control makes the whole process just so much easier all of the 4k content pretty much any kind of streaming I tried to do on this device worked really well with no lag or buffering everything was just really really smooth I mean probably the only negative point something to think of is number one the fact that you don't get anything at port and I always do personally prefer you know streaming over Ethernet compared to Wireless but I mean the fact that this does have dual band wireless does make up for that some more and also there's only one USB 2 port but again guys re-nest or anything as too much of a problem and that's all for this video guys many thanks for watching I personally think this is one of the best devices I've ever viewed but do let me know what you think leave me a comment below and I hope you catch up with you guys real soon thanks that's it guys I hope you found that video useful give me a thumbs up if you did comment below let me know if this worked for you and please subscribe for more content thanks again for watching guys oh and if you're interested in VPN if you click on that link on the bottom left you'll get a great 46 percent discount if you are worried about your privacy and you want to stay safe online I do recommend you check out our VPN thanks again guys see you on the next one
